Senator Bong Go Joins Inauguration of MB SBG Multi-Purpose Building in Quezon City

Quezon City, Philippines – Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, alongside Quezon City District 2 Councilor Mikey Belmonte and Barangay Chairman Willy Cara, attended the inauguration of the MB SBG Multi-Purpose Building in Bagong Silangan, Clemencia, Quezon City, on Monday.

The newly inaugurated facility is set to serve as a hub for various community programs, providing a space for public services, barangay meetings, and socio-civic activities. The structure, a product of collaborative efforts between local government officials and national representatives, aims to enhance the accessibility of essential services for residents of the area.

During his speech, Senator Go emphasized his commitment to grassroots development and the importance of government infrastructure projects that directly benefit local communities. “Ang hangad natin ay mas lalong mapalapit ang serbisyo ng gobyerno sa tao. Itong multi-purpose building ay magsisilbing tulay upang mas mabilis na maihatid ang mga pangunahing pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan,” Go stated.

Apart from the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Go also took the time to interact with local residents, listening to their concerns and reaffirming his advocacy for healthcare, education, and disaster preparedness. He reiterated his support for programs such as the Malasakit Centers, which provide financial and medical assistance to indigent patients.

Councilor Mikey Belmonte also expressed his gratitude to Senator Go and other officials who contributed to the project’s realization. “Ito ay isang patunay na sa pagtutulungan ng lokal at nasyunal na pamahalaan, mas maraming maihahatid na proyekto para sa ating mga kababayan,” Belmonte said.

Residents of Bagong Silangan welcomed the initiative, seeing the multi-purpose building as a significant step towards improved community welfare. The event concluded with a short program celebrating the completion of the facility, attended by local leaders, residents, and government representatives.

Senator Go continues to visit various communities across the country, advocating for initiatives that aim to uplift the quality of life of Filipinos, particularly in underserved areas. His presence at the inauguration underscores his ongoing commitment to accessible public service and community empowerment.
