CSC Reminds Gov’t Workers: No Political Activity, Even on Social Media, During #Eleksyon2025 Campaign Period

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has issued a memorandum reminding all government officials and employees to refrain from engaging in any form of partisan political activity—both offline and online—during the official campaign period for the upcoming #Eleksyon2025.

The reminder includes a strict warning against participating in political activities on social media, such as liking, sharing, commenting on, or reposting content that shows support for or opposition against any candidate, party, or political group.

According to the CSC, these acts are considered violations of the rules on political neutrality, which are strictly enforced during the election period. As public servants, government employees are expected to remain non-partisan to protect the integrity of the public service and maintain public trust.

The CSC reiterates that non-compliance may lead to administrative sanctions, including suspension or dismissal from service.

This directive is in line with the commission’s continuous efforts to uphold a clean, fair, and credible electoral process and to ensure that the civil service remains free from political influence.

As the country moves closer to the 2025 elections, the CSC calls on all government workers to observe professionalism, neutrality, and adherence to ethical standards in both public and digital spaces.
