PNP Joins President Marcos in Commemorating Araw ng Kagitingan, Honoring Fallen Heroes

On April 9, 2025, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. continued the nation’s tribute to its heroes during the 83rd Araw ng Kagitingan (Day of Valor) by visiting both the Mount Samat National Shrine in Bataan and Camp General Emilio Aguinaldo in Quezon City. This solemn commemoration honors the sacrifices of soldiers and police officers who have fallen in the line of duty.

As the Commander-in-Chief, President Marcos was joined by the families and beneficiaries of soldiers and police personnel from the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) who were Killed-in-Action (KIA) or Wounded-in-Action (WIA). The ceremony held at the Tejeros Hall acknowledged the sacrifices made by these heroes, recognizing their invaluable contribution to defending the state, maintaining peace, and securing the nation.

The event emphasized the crucial role of the AFP and PNP as they continue to uphold their sworn duties in pursuit of justice and lasting peace for every Filipino. Their bravery and unwavering commitment to service are celebrated not only on this special day but throughout the year.
