Camille Villar Leads Inauguration of Expanded Las Piñas General Hospital, Boosting Healthcare Access

House Deputy Speaker Camille Villar has led the inauguration of the newly expanded Las Piñas General Hospital and Satellite Trauma Center (LPGHSTC), a 12-story facility designed to enhance medical services in the region. The expansion raises the hospital’s capacity to 500 beds, significantly improving access to quality healthcare for Filipinos.

The hospital’s modernization and expansion were made possible through Republic Act No. 11497, a legislative measure authored and championed by Villar in Congress. The law not only increased the hospital’s bed capacity but also bolstered its medical workforce by hiring more doctors, nurses, and support staff to ensure efficient and comprehensive patient care.

“Providing accessible and well-equipped hospitals is crucial for our communities, particularly for those who need urgent medical attention,” Villar emphasized. She underscored the government’s responsibility to deliver high-quality healthcare services, noting that every Filipino family deserves reliable and comprehensive medical care.

LPGHSTC Medical Director Dr. Ignacia Guia Fajardo expressed gratitude for Villar’s leadership and dedication to securing funding for the hospital’s expansion. She also acknowledged the contributions of Villar’s mother and brother, Senators Cynthia and Mark Villar, in supporting the project.

As a senatorial candidate, Villar has consistently championed social programs that uplift ordinary Filipinos. She has pledged to advocate for innovative policies aimed at improving healthcare, education, housing, women’s rights, and economic opportunities.

The expansion of LPGHSTC reflects Villar’s unwavering commitment to public service and her advocacy for better healthcare systems, reinforcing her vision of a more inclusive and responsive medical sector in the Philippines.
